Routes 82/Routes 305 and 700. Hiram is less than an hour's drive from
Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown.

SPECIAL NOTICE
Springtime in Ohio means warmer weather and color returning to the landscape - including orange cones on our roadways. ODOT informed us about resurfacing to take place near Hiram. This is the most current information that we have. Please allow extra travel time when planning your trip to Hiram.
Beginning April 20, ODOT is resurfacing State Route 82 from Aurora to the Cuyahoga River Bridge, located east of State Route 44. ODOT will maintain one lane of traffic at all times during the week and both lanes will be open during the weekends.
Beginning May 4, ODOT is resurfacing State Route 305 from State Route 700 in Hiram to the Trumbull County line. The portion of SR 305 closest to Trumbull County will be closed on May 4. The portion of SR 305 in Hiram will be closed May 19 to 27.
Also, ODOT is resurfacing State Route 82 from State Route 91 in Twinsburg to the Portage County line. They will maintain one lane of traffic at all times except the weekend of May 8 to 10 when State Route 82 will be closed from State Route 91 to Cannon Road in Twinsburg.
From the west side of Cleveland
Take I-480 east to Route 422 (toward Solon). Proceed east on Route 422 and Route 700. Go south for 5 miles on Route 700 into Hiram.
From the east side of Cleveland
Go south on I-271 and then east to Route 422 (toward Solon). Proceed east on Route 422 and Route 700. Go south for 5 miles on Route 700 into Hiram.
From downtown Cleveland
Take I-77 south to I-480. Take I-480 east to Route 422. Proceed east on Route 422 and Route 700. Go south for 5 miles on Route 700 into Hiram.
From the Akron and Canton areas
Take I-77 north. Exit at Route 8 and proceed north to the Ohio Turnpike (I-80). Take I-80 east to Exit 193 (Ravenna). Proceed north on Route 44. Go east on Route 82 to Hiram.
From the Akron and Canton area (alternate)
Take I-76 to Route 44 (Ravenna); follow Route 44 north to Route 88; go east on Route 88 to Freedom and turn left on to Route 700. Follow Route 700 into Hiram.
From the Youngstown Area
Take the Ohio Turnpike (I-80) to Exit 209 (Warren); go west on Route 5 (toward Warren). At the first traffic light, turn right on Route 534. Turn left on Route 82 and follow Route 82 west to Hiram.
From the Warren area
Take Route 422 West. Turn left on Route 305. Travel west on Route 305 into Hiram.
From Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.
Take Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) to the Ohio Turnpike (I-80). Take I-80 west to Exit 193 (Ravenna). Proceed north on Route 44. Go east on Route 82 to Hiram.
From northern New England and northern New York State
Take the New York Thruway (I-90) west and proceed into Ohio. Exit at Route 528 (Madison) and drive south. At Route 87, turn right and proceed west to Burton. In the center of Burton, pick up Route 700 in the traffic circle and proceed south to Hiram.
From Chicago and points west
Take the Indiana Toll Road (I-80/90) east to the Ohio Turnpike (I-80). Take I-80 east to exit 193 (Ravenna). Proceed north on Route 44. Go east on Route 82 to Hiram.
From Cincinnati and points south
Take I-71 north to I-271. Proceed north on I-271. Exit at Route 82 and east to Hiram.
Airport Information
Hiram is easily accessible from two different major airports. Cleveland Hopkins, northern Ohio's large international airport, is 45 minute drive from campus. The Akron-Canton Airport is a bit further away, but it is known for having sligthly cheaper fares. Both airports are good and regularly used by Hiram College visitors.
